GREENER FUTURE
For a Greener Future Your Future, Our Mission
Nexentury specializes in developing and co-developing PV and PV-hybrid solutions, providing flexible and sustainable energy solutions for both the public and private sectors.
Our focus is on installations of 1 MW and above.
Nexentury has a diverse, international, and successful history in the renewable energy sector. Founded in 2011 by Rollie Armstrong and Steffen Kammerer under the name Solea Capital, the company has continuously pushed the boundaries of sustainable energy solutions.
In 2012, the company signed an IPP development agreement with a private German chrome mining company in the Limpopo province of South Africa near Thabazimbi. After nearly six months of development, it designed, approved, financed, built, and commissioned the world’s first off-grid utility-scale PV/Diesel hybrid power plant.
By 2013, Solea Capital became part of the CRONIMET Group and was rebranded as CRONIMET Mining Power Solutions, shifting its focus to innovative energy solutions for the mining industry, particularly in Southern Africa.
In 2014, the company entered the Namibian market, successfully designing and constructing Namibia’s first grid-connected utility-scale PV power plant—the largest at the time to be integrated into the Nampower grid.
By 2018, the company installed its first PV system for the hospitality industry in Namibia, pioneering off-grid hybridization of PV power plants in Southern Africa. This success led to the development and implementation of two more PV plants in Windhoek in 2019.
A major milestone came in 2020, when the company became part of the OLFITRA Group in Namibia and rebranded as O&L Nexentury GmbH. This strengthened its position in renewable energy not only in Southern Africa but also in Germany, paving the way for further growth.
In 2021, O&L Nexentury began developing projects in Floating-PV and Agri-PV in Germany.
By 2023, the company achieved two significant milestones:
- Constructing Germany’s largest Floating-PV system.
- Developing a PV system for Namibia’s first green hydrogen pilot project.
Finally, in 2025, the company took a bold step towards independence, rebranding as Nexentury. Today, Nexentury stands as an independent developer and service provider for sustainable energy projects, fully committed to shaping a greener and more climate-friendly future.
